Okan Ürkmez
Founding Partner
“A leader creates impact and changes the result — pushing without bullying.”
Okan Ürkmez is a strategist who learned where performance is lost in the field. He spent twenty-one years of his career in FMCG, pharma and retail across B2C and B2B. From medical sales representative to national sales manager and then general manager, he saw that the real variable behind the numbers is always human behavior. His consulting approach rests on that insight: an organization’s results are the sum of the small behaviors its leaders repeat every day.
As a founding partner of ecosystem360, Okan designs and leads transformation programs with boards, CEOs and HR leaders across sectors from manufacturing to retail, aviation to security. One principle guides his work: no prescription without diagnosis. Organizations take shape around their leaders. Okan discovers where leadership impact and performance leak most. Every program starts with the organization’s own data, field reality and people’s voice. Instead of off-the-shelf training catalogs, he advances with company-specific simulations and ends with measurable behavior change.
That philosophy is the starting point of ecosystem360’s AI-supported 360° leadership assessment system, grounded in the competency frameworks of the 360° Performance Engineering Model. Today Okan is running a leadership transformation program covering more than 750 managers across three levels — from field team leaders to mid and senior management.
He positions ecosystem360 as a corporate performance development company. Together with his co-founder, he built tools that measure performance gaps across six dimensions with the Performance Gap Diagnostic.
Performance Gap Diagnostic — 6 dimensions
Strategy Gap
Do people know where the organization is going?
Capability Gap
Is the required knowledge and competence in place?
Behavior Gap
Do people actually apply what they know?
Leadership Gap
Do leaders model and support the right behaviors?
System Gap
Do process, KPIs, OKRs and technology support performance?
Execution Gap
Do plans actually get implemented?
He does not consult only by observing from the outside. He served as Turkey Sales Manager at Santa Farma Pharmaceutical, and as General Manager for Sales & Marketing at Marie Claire Paris (Eurasia, MENA, Gulf, Russia) and AIC Chemical — roles he continues to advise. That keeps every approach he recommends first tested at his own table. The ecosystem360 brand was born from Pin Akademi’s more than 14 years of experience. Its coaching programs hold Association for Coaching (AC) corporate accreditation.
People who work with him say he names what is not being said at the table, not only what is. He clarifies hard conversations rather than softening them — while protecting the other person’s dignity. He creates pressure not with volume, but with structure and consistency. For him, a successful project is a system that keeps working after the consultant leaves.
Outside work, he makes time for his wife and two sons, Eymen and Çağan, cooking at home, and starting the day with a morning walk. Perhaps that is why he believes the best results come not from haste, but from the right ingredients, patience and repetition.
